Dza Patrul Rinpoche (1808-1887), l’auteur du Chemin de la grande perfection<\/em>, \u00e9tait un ma\u00eetre \u00e9clair\u00e9 et un enseignant tib\u00e9tain tr\u00e8s respect\u00e9 qui a choisi de vivre une vie d’une profonde simplicit\u00e9. Il m\u00e9ditait dans des grottes et des ermitages pendant de longues retraites et errait dans les montagnes en tant que renon\u00e7ant, sans plan ni destination fixes. Il ne s’int\u00e9ressait pas aux activit\u00e9s mondaines et \u00e9vitait consciemment les complexit\u00e9s li\u00e9es \u00e0 la possession d’un monast\u00e8re ou \u00e0 l’exercice d’une fonction officielle.<\/p>\n

\"\"Sans attachement aux biens mat\u00e9riels, il refusait la plupart des offrandes ou les laissait derri\u00e8re lui pour les besoins des mendiants. Il se nourrissait de tsampa et de th\u00e9 et ne poss\u00e9dait que quelques objets personnels. En d\u00e9pit de sa compl\u00e8te r\u00e9alisation, sa tenue et son apparence ext\u00e9rieure \u00e9taient quelconques, refl\u00e9tant un air de banalit\u00e9. L’humilit\u00e9 totale avec laquelle il se comportait a souvent conduit les personnes qui l’ont crois\u00e9 \u00e0 ne voir en lui qu’un vagabond sans ressources.<\/p>\n
