New Shedra Study Cycle IV
We are very happy to announce a new Study Cycle taught by Dzogchen Ranyak Patrul Rinpoche, with the assistance of Lopön Tsering Gönpo and Lopön Jampa Norgyal. Launched in 2005, this program is an excellent way to understand the “Nine Vehicles”, a gradual approach to the teachings of the Buddha. At the end of the study cycle, students are ready to receive instructions on the Great Perfection, the pinnacle of all vehicles.

Simplicity Itself
I wonder what the differences are between momentary nature, neutral nature, path nature and ground nature. It is important to investigate their meaning even though it is difficult to express. When I do try to meditate on them, my mind becomes even-minded, a sort of compassionate mind, because all my disturbing emotions become exhausted in momentary nature and my mind is clear and sharp, and pervaded by its own nature. What do you think about all this?
I think it is simplicity itself. I think it is self-liberation. I think it is not dependent on anything else. I think it is self-rebirth without any conditions. I think it is self-cause, self-condition and self-effect with no need for cause and no need for condition. I think it is self-effortless self-liberation, self-brought happiness everywhere.

The Black Guru Rinpoche Statues Project
The black diamond-carved Guru Rinpoche statues, which contain iron beads, relics and scriptures, can last for hundreds of years in outdoor environment. According to Guru Rinpoche’s prediction, they can be placed on mountains, rivers or caves, in lakes or in the ocean around the world to suppress and resolve various disasters and wars, liberating all sentient beings in the six realms into Buddhahood.
A Visit from Tulku Migmed Dorje Rinpoche
We were honoured to host Tulku Migmed Dorje Rinpoche, together with his wife, at Dharma City during the summer shedra. As the eldest son of Chhimed Rigdzin Rinpoche (Khordong Terchen Tulku Chhimed Rigdzin Rinpoche), the lineage holder of the Khordong and the Northern Treasures (Jangter, byang gter) traditions in the Nyingma school of Tibetan Buddhism, Rinpoche’s visit strengthened even more the connection between Patrul Rinpoche’s lineage and the Jangter lineage.
